Recalls hit 11 million units in China in 2016

"Chinese and international automakers issued recalls for a record 11.32 million faulty cars in China by Dec 25." - China Daily.com.cn
According to the quality "watchdog" agency in China (General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine), automakers have spent over 21 billion yuan (2.87 bn EUR) on fixing the incidents originated by non-quality issues.

The affected quantity is a record high number, exceeding 10 million the first time since 2004. The pareto table based on top 3 part categories is the following:
